Leonardo Siscar is a Filipino visual artist whose path began in Manila, where early exposure to neighboring artists shaped his direction from childhood. At age 12, he became deeply engaged with drawing after observing portrait, landscape, and sculptural work being made around him.
He later enrolled in Fine Arts at EARIST in 2010, but financial constraints interrupted his studies before graduation. He continued developing his skills through gallery apprenticeships across Manila, combining hands-on learning with paid creative work to sustain himself.
In 2018, he worked as a textile designer and visual artist. During the pandemic period, after a prolonged disruption to stable employment, he committed to art as a full-time career. Since then, he has continued building his body of work through commissions while living with his family in the province.
His work is grounded in figurative and observational image-making, with attention to emotional atmosphere, detail, and narrative clarity. Across recent pieces, he balances technical control with a direct human sensibility shaped by lived experience.
Today, Leonardo Siscar continues to grow as an independent artist, defined by consistency, adaptability, and long-term commitment to his craft.
